Don’t you just love Keri Hilson’s sexy take on the smoky eye? Here’s how you can copy her look!
Singer Keri Hilson showed off an enviable green-grey smoky eye at the Los Angeles premiere for Takers on August 4. I’m a huge fan of a metallic grey shadow that has just a hint of green to it. Recently, I’ve been using the new Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Tzarine from their Fall 2010 collection to get a similar effect.
It’s a gorgeous combination of a subtle gold-flecked nude hue and a steely green-grey shade. The golden shadow is perfect as an all-over base and looks pretty by itself too for everyday use. To really kick things up a notch like Keri, swipe the grey color all across the lids and bring it along the lower lash line as well. It gives an super sultry effect yet is way less harsh than a black hue. Plus, the iridescence in the formula really opens up the eyes. This duo is surprisingly flattering on all skin tones too. (I tested it out on a girls’ trip this weekend on a bunch of friends with different hair colors and skin tones.)
